What antioxidants to eat to get glowing skin
Despite there being no conclusive evidence that antioxidants prevent skin aging, most experts agree that antioxidants capture free radicals which are one of the primary causes of skin aging. Antioxidant rich skincare products and foods can thus give you glowier, healthier skin.
Three of the most effective anti-oxidants are Vitamin C, Vitamin E and beta-carotenes. Although a lot of skincare contains anti-oxidants, adding them into your diet boosts the effect.
Foods rich in antioxidants include tomatoes and citrus fruits like oranges, tangerines, grapefruit for Vitamin C. For beta-carotene, it is advised to eat at least 2 orange, yellow or green vegetables a day. A great example would be a cup of orange juice with carrots. For Vitamin E, rich sources include nuts, seeds, Canola Oil, Olive Oil and fatty fish like salmon, halibat, and trout.
Taking supplements is also recommended if you don't get enough vegetables or fruit in your daily diet.
